About Us

The Whitman Story

Shane and Cameron Whitman have been involved in family businesses their entire lives. From being a part of their parents’ small business to working in their uncle’s construction business, the brothers share a deep appreciation for family bonds and know the importance of complementing one another in the workplace with their individual skill sets. It has proven to be a successful matchup.

Whitman Construction began in 2005, and the brothers were happy doing “pretty much anything” construction-related: small repair jobs, remodels, and new construction. A fortuitous meeting with area Realtor Mimi Hunter opened a door that would eventually lead to The Punch Pros. While working on a small remodel for her, the Whitmans were asked if they would consider handling a few issues on an inspection report for a home she was selling. Glad to oblige, they completed their first Due Diligence repairs in 2007 and the ball started rolling. Mimi sent more Due Diligence repair jobs and word quickly spread, with other area real estate agents turning to Shane and Cameron for their inspection report issues.

And then the bottom fell out…

The timing couldn’t have been better. When the housing bust of 2008-09 brought the world of new construction crashing down, it was those small due diligence repair jobs that carried the Whitmans through and helped them learn the importance of balance, budgeting, and enduring trials. While continuing with remodels and additions, the brothers added numerous due diligence repair jobs to their weekly schedules. By the spring of 2016, Shane and Cameron had developed strong ties with area subcontractors and the trust of Triad-area real estate agents. The Punch Pros was born.

We’re Family First

While pouring more time and resources into this segment of their business, the Whitmans still manage to keep family at the center of their universe. Each brother has four children, all ranging in age from eight to twenty-four, and their work lives and family lives tend to blend.

For this close-knit clan, business isn’t just Monday through Friday; it turns into cookouts on Saturdays, church on Sundays, birthday parties, holiday gatherings, and having the kids become an integral part of The Punch Pros as they get older.

It’s All About Customer Service

With forty years of construction experience between them, Shane and Cameron also understand the needs of their customers. Many agents they’ve talked to over the years have shared the same concern: the challenge of finding reliable and timely solutions to home inspection issues. For this reason, the Whitmans have big goals in place to fulfill what they feel is The Punch Pros’ purpose:

Bringing confidence to people buying or selling homes by providing reliable and timely solutions and doing it with quality care.

For these industrious brothers, working with the real estate industry is a terrific match. Their early years of working in their parents’ business introduced them to customers with very similar qualities and personalities to those of the customers they serve today. Qualities Shane and Cameron are most familiar with and truly enjoy…

As Shane puts it, “I think that might be our number one advantage.”
